Shotaro describes his work as a “re-collage” of memorable materials. After the catastrophe, large amounts of building materials were left on the disaster area.
By reassembling these memorable materials into “Home”, the future residence would have familiarity with the space. Also, this concept allows for the future residents to participate in the construction process.
