Focus on the housing complex built in the suburbs area and perform renovation with a public
bath. By considering operation, forest conservation, and community cycles linked to the
valuable forest resources of Nagano, we propose a long-term view of solving forest utilization
problems and a place to receive regional communities. The volume of a large public bath that
spans two buildings will be the new face of the housing complex, and the warm common area
made up of the hot water piping that has passed through the staircase room will promote the
community of residents and improve the living performance.
